The Omaha Community Foundation believes that engaged residents are in invaluable part of a strong community. Therefore, Community Interest Funds are designed to empower everyday community members to make decisions about the initiatives that will impact their respective communities.
Grant applications are now being accepted for the:
- Omaha Neighborhood Grants
- African American Unity Fund (AAUF)
- Futuro Latino Fund (FLF)
- Equality Fund for LGBTQIA+
The grant portal will close at 11:59pm on March 1, 2020.
These programs connect and support on-the-ground organizations and provide technical assistance and training where needed. A grassroots approach to addressing local priorities, practicing and growing active citizenship, and building community.
Recent grant program news:
The grant funds are strategic investments meant to impact those in our community who will benefit from greater access to equity and opportunity. In the long term, we hope that resident-led grant programs will also help to shape systems and policies that contribute to inequities in our community.
