Community Interest Funds

Engaging residents in community grantmaking

Engaged residents are an invaluable part of a strong community. To that end, Community Interest Fund programs empower everyday community members to make decisions about the initiatives that will impact their own community.

These programs connect and support on-the-ground organizations and provide technical assistance and training where needed. It’s a grassroots approach to addressing local priorities, practicing and growing active citizenship, and building community.

The grant funds are strategic investments meant to impact those in our community who will benefit from greater access to equity and opportunity. In the long term, we hope that resident-led grant programs will also help to shape systems and policies that contribute to inequities in our community.
