Our people at the Omaha Community Foundation are here to make giving through your fund as simple and meaningful as possible.
It’s an experienced and knowledgeable team, committed to providing smart strategies and proven practices for making the most out of your philanthropic decisions. Consider them your partners in philanthropy.
Uri Rueda Licea
Uri comes to the Omaha Community Foundation as our new Accounting Associate. His previous work experience includes three years at Boys and Girls Club of the Midlands and another two years at a small immigration law firm in Omaha.
What drew Uri to work at the Foundation? The opportunity to be surrounded by people who are kind and benevolent. So far, so good. He’s found the team here to be incredibly nice and welcoming.
Kristin McKenzie
Kristin’s wealth of accounting knowledge in the public and nonprofit sectors has been a welcome addition to our team and she recently moved into the role of Accounting Associate II.
She has always sought out a place where her talents were helping make her community better and she’s found it at OCF.
Yvette Franks
Yvette joined the accounting team at OCF in 2013 and was recently promoted to Accounting Manager. Yvette loves living in a growing community but still has a “small-town” feel.
She is passionate about supporting organizations that serve children and animals and those supporting people with cancer and their families.
Vanessa Denney
Vanessa moves into a new role as Director of Philanthropic Services after nearly two years a member of our Donor Services team. The Philanthropic Services team works closely with family and private foundations who are looking for a partner to oversee the administrative and operational side of their giving and grantmaking.
Our team can help set giving priorities, plan meetings, provide nonprofit knowledge, and more. Vanessa’s favorite thing about living in Omaha is her family, which recently grew to four with the addition of her second child.
Kelli Cavey
Kelli was recently promoted to Vice President of Donor Services after recently serving as Director of Donor Services for the last year. She initially came to OCF in 2018 as a Donor Services Specialist after a career as an estate planning attorney in Omaha.
Kelli enjoys any opportunity to be active outdoors in her community, especially taking in the sights during an early morning walk at Zorinsky Lake.
