The Southwest Iowa team at the Omaha Community Foundation serves our nine Iowa Community Foundation affiliates and metro area programs in Pottawattamie County. While each of these affiliates is led by an advisory board, our two-person team helps provide office support and management, in addition to hosting annual or bi-annual grant cycles. We’re dedicated to helping these communities define their vision for the future and providing connections to the resources and programs that can make it possible.

Stacey Goodman and Tess Houser have both joined the Southwest Iowa team in the last two years; we invite you to meet them below:

Stacey GoodmanStacey Goodman head shot

Stacey has been with the Foundation for five years but transitioned to Iowa Foundations Director in early 2018.  Before joining the Omaha Community Foundation, she spent four years at the CHI Health Foundation. A native and current resident of Council Bluffs, Stacey loves getting to know the people and communities who are working to make change throughout our affiliate counties. You’ll most often find her traversing Southwest Iowa as she visits the county community foundations and assists the local affiliate boards in the management of their grant cycles, scholarships, and community programs.

Tess Houser

Tess brings experience in development and grant writing to her role at the Foundation. With a background in studio arts, she’s spent time working with many visual and performing arts nonprofits throughout Omaha, most recently at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts. Her creativity and detail-oriented nature helps in her role in building relationships with donors, nonprofits and other stakeholders throughout Southwest Iowa. She joined the Foundation in early 2019, and in her short time here, has helped to streamline and enhance the grants experience for our Iowa affiliate foundations.
