County Endowment Funds

Funding local projects, strengthening Southwest Iowa.

The County Endowment Fund Program directs a portion of Iowa’s gaming tax revenue to community foundations in the 84 counties without state-issued gaming licenses. These funds support local charitable projects, with 75% granted directly to county initiatives and 25% allocated to a permanent endowment fund. You can support the county endowment fund in your home county to help provide lasting resources for community needs.

Local Impact

Since the program began in 2005, the Community Foundations of Southwest Iowa have provided millions of dollars to projects across Audubon, Cass, Crawford, Fremont, Harrison, Mills, Montgomery and Page Counties. Learn more about the county-by-county impact.
