We are excited to announce that Katie Vogel recently joined our Donor Services team as a Senior Advisor.

In her new role at the Omaha Community Foundation, Katie will work with our fundholders and their financial advisors to implement charitable giving plans to ensure the greatest philanthropic impact possible. She will be part of the team providing education on all types of giving options, overseeing complex asset donations, and planned giving. A trained mediator, Katie brings experience in facilitating conversations among families, and having focused conversations to align philanthropic priorities with giving opportunities at OCF.

As an attorney, Katie has extensive expertise in estate and gift planning, probate and estates, and trust administration. She is also experienced in advising business clients on issues from operations to the division of business assets upon the dissolution of a business or relationship.

Katie is an active member of the Nebraska State Bar association. She is the past chair of the Women and the Law section and has served on the executive committee for over eight years. She graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and the University of Nebraska College of Law.

She has served as a member of the board of directors for Family Services, PAC2Daycare, and the Capital Humane Society. She is a graduate of Leadership Lincoln and a former CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) volunteer on behalf of abused and neglected children.
