The Nonprofit Capacity Building Program is a year-long curriculum offered by the Omaha Community Foundation to strengthen nonprofits and the community as a whole. We’re embarking on the program’s sixth year, and ten organizations have been invited to participate in 2016.
Following dozens of nominations from community members, an application and interview process, the nonprofits and executive directors selected to participate in the 2016 program are:
- Building Healthy Futures – Jeanee Weiss
- GOALS Center – Treva Haugaard
- Hear Nebraska – Andrew Norman
- Help Adult Services – Penny Koenig
- Nebraska AIDS Project – Jordan Delmundo
- New Cassel Retirement Center – Julie Sebastian
- Omaha Home for Boys – Jeff Moran
- Outlook Nebraska, Inc. – Eric Stueckrath
- The Center – Cati DeMassi
- Santa Monica House – Heather Kirk
These participants will determine priority areas for capacity building, meet with peers to discuss and address challenges and attend sessions designed to strengthen each organization’s board leadership. Upon successful completion of the program, each organization will receive a $5,000 grant to support their capacity building efforts.
