This 12-page report offers actionable insights for donors, nonprofits, and the community at large. We share how funding decisions are made and highlight areas where donors can make the greatest impact by meeting community needs. We’ve also included a comprehensive overview of the Fund for Omaha, along with a list of all OCF grant opportunities.
With a 35-year legacy, the Fund for Omaha has awarded more than $10 million to local nonprofits, making it the single largest grant program at OCF.
Report Highlights
- In a highly competitive grant cycle, the Fund for Omaha awarded a total of $402,500 to 18 nonprofits, representing just 16% of this year’s applicants.
- The demand for operating support and flexible grant funding remains high. We received 110 applications for funding, totaling $2.5 million.
- Among all applications, the most common requests for funding were in the priority areas of vibrant communities (30%), health (23%), and arts and culture (20%).
