This month marks a major milestone at the Omaha Community Foundation — ten years of service, leadership, and community building by Anne Meysenburg, our Director of Community Investment.

Since joining OCF in 2015, Anne has helped shape a more connected, effective, and resilient nonprofit ecosystem in Omaha. She’s led the expansion of our grant programs, deepened capacity-building efforts, and forged partnerships across the community. Under her leadership, OCF’s community investments have grown in size, strategy, and reach — always grounded in community need.

Anne’s background as the former executive director of both The Kent Bellows Studio & Center for Visual Arts and Live Well Omaha, as well as her training as a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® give her unique insight into what nonprofits need to thrive. She understands the challenges from the inside out — and she’s used that insight to create programs built for long-term impact.

From maternal and behavioral health to neighborhood revitalization, refugee support, and disaster recovery, Anne has guided or stewarded the development of many of OCF’s cornerstone initiatives.

“None of it happens alone,” she said. “I have the distinct pleasure of serving alongside, in partnership with, and in support of some of our community’s greatest leaders and philanthropists.”

Colleagues describe Anne as a steady, trusted leader who asks thoughtful questions and brings clarity to complex work. They note her rare ability to challenge and support in equal measure — helping teams grow stronger while always centering the community.

As OCF President and CEO Donna Kush shared, “Anne’s passion and commitment are endless. Her directness is refreshing and necessary. She makes us a better community foundation and a better community.”

Anne leads with curiosity and a deep belief in listening.

“That’s a hallmark of how I serve,” she said. “If we stay grounded in what people are telling us, we’ll grow in the right direction.”

Looking ahead, Anne is excited to expand OCF’s capacity-building work and continue supporting local organizations in bigger, more collaborative ways.

“We have incredible assets in this community — people, ideas, momentum. I’m excited to build on that and find new ways to meet critical needs.”
