It is with mixed emotions that we announce that Matt Darling, Executive Vice President, is leaving the Omaha Community Foundation on Friday, April 2. Matt has been given the opportunity to combine a love of outdoors, nature, and conservation with his skills in leadership, fiscal management, fundraising, and team building as the new Executive Director of Fontenelle Forest.
His strategic mindset, desire to find solutions, and collaborate have helped OCF evolve to meet the needs of our fundholders and our community. Matt began his OCF career as the Director of Donor Services, was promoted to Vice President and then Executive Vice President. While we are sad to see Matt depart, we are thrilled for him in his new role leading one of our community’s vital organizations.
Thanks to his leadership, Matt leaves behind an exceptionally strong team that is well prepared to move the work forward, including Kelli Cavey who will assume the new role of Director of Donor Services. Kelli has been with the Foundation since 2018, and before that, spent 10 years practicing as an estate planning attorney. Since joining us, Kelli has led the development of our new Impact Investing program.
We are thankful for Matt’s eight years of dedication to the Foundation. He has been a tremendous mentor, colleague, and leader, and he will always remain a part of the OCF family.
