The Fremont County Community Foundation is pleased to announce that it has awarded $22,100 in grants to Fremont County nonprofit agencies. The following organizations were awarded grants by the Fremont County Community Foundation Advisory Board:

  • Fancy Feathers Therapy Horses – $4,250.00 to Build Therapy Arena
  • Farragut Community Hometown Pride – $1,600.00 for Learning Center Update
  • Hamburg Hometown Pride – $1,200.00 to Install Bench Near Mural
  • Hamburg TeamMates – $400.00 for Games and Storage
  • Holly’s Hope – $1,600.00 for Supplies and Lodging for Domestic Violence Survivors
  • Percival Hometown Pride – $1,800.00 for Message Center/Information Board in Percival Park
  • Randolph Public Library – $1,000.00 for STEM Materials
  • Sidney Hometown Pride – $5,000.00 for Phase 1 Welcome Sign Project
  • Tabor Hometown Pride – $3,550.00 for Paul Andrew Clapper Art Images
  • Tabor Public Library – $1,000.00 for Afterschool AG Up Program
  • West Central Community Action – $700.00 for Food Pantry Freezer

The grant cycle included $700 from the Farragut Community Endowment Fund and $600 from the Hamburg Community Endowment Fund.All grantees met the criteria as Fremont County nonprofit agencies or organizations with charitable missions in the areas of civic, cultural, health, education, and social services. Only organizations providing services in Fremont County were eligible. Fremont County agency representatives received their checks on November 9. During brief check distribution activities, Kent Claiborne commended the nonprofit agencies for their individual efforts to provide a better quality of life for the residents of Fremont County.

Our Advisory Board is pleased to direct $22,100 in grants to these important community efforts in Fremont County. The Fremont County Community Foundation is one of nine counties that are collectively known as the Community Foundations of Southwest Iowa and meets or exceeds the Standards for Community Foundations as established by the Council on Foundations in Washington DC.

The SheFremont lby County Community Foundation works with individuals, families, businesses, and organizations to create charitable funds that address the changing, vital community needs and interests. Donating to a charitable fund helps your neighbors today and you help build a stronger community tomorrow. Not only that, you may be eligible to receive a 25% Endow Iowa Tax Credit for each donation, in addition to any Federal tax benefits for which you may qualify. The Fremont County Community Foundation invests and administers these funds and distributes grants to deserving, qualified nonprofit organizations. “This has grown from an annual event to twice a year, with one grant cycle in the spring and another in the fall,” said Claiborne.
