Rallying the community to support local nonprofits
Omaha Gives! is the community’s online platform to showcase the region’s spirit of generosity, increase awareness about local nonprofits, and celebrate the collective effort it takes to make the Omaha-Council Bluffs area great.
We are proud that OmahaGives.org has inspired the community to participate in local philanthropy. Additionally, it introduces donors to new organizations, engages a new generation of donors, builds the marketing and fundraising capacity of local nonprofits, and furthers the connections between residents and the region’s growing nonprofit community. The minimum donation on Omaha Gives! is $10, an amount that allows nearly anyone to participate.
A Year-Round Platform
OmahaGives.org encourages giving locally every day—donors can browse hundreds of organizations to find out who is working on the issues that matter most to them, and give any time.
An Annual Giving Day
Additionally, every May the community comes together for a 24-hour online giving celebration. During the giving day, nonprofits are awarded prizes and incentives to help make every individual gift go further.
Since its beginning in 2013, Omaha Gives! has raised $42 million dollars, supporting more than 1,000 nonprofits in Douglas, Sarpy and Pottawattamie Counties.
In 2018, our community came together to support 970 nonprofits in a big way for the 6th annual giving day presented by American National Bank.
Mark your calendars—the 7th annual giving day is all set for May 22, 2019. The celebration begins at midnight with a minimum $10 donation and hourly drawings and prizes make your donations go further.
Nonprofit registration opens annually on January 15.
