The Omaha Community Foundation is pleased to open applications for the Ignite STEM: Hubbard Classroom Grant, a new funding opportunity aimed at boosting STEM learning in Nebraska public schools through the Claire M. Hubbard Foundation.
This classroom grant offers up to $500 per teacher to support K-6 lead and primary classroom teachers in Nebraska public schools. Funds may be used to purchase general supplies, books, equipment, training, or other resources (indoors or outdoors) that enrich STEM education and enhance the learning and teaching experience.
Key information:
- Applicants must be K-6 lead or primary classroom teachers in Nebraska public schools.
- Funds cannot be used for field trips or after-school programs.
- The grant is nonrenewable.
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis throughout the academic year until funds run out.
- Teachers must spend the grant in the same academic year they apply and submit a brief post-grant report on how the funds were used and their impact on students and classroom practice.

Teachers interested in applying should have their school’s EIN or Tax ID ready, and must have the support of their school principal. The online application is available via the Omaha Community Foundation’s grant portal. Grant status decisions are made within approximately 30 days.
