We are excited to welcome Anna Dwyer to OCF as our new Donor Services Advisor. A lifelong Omahan, Anna grew up in the Aksarben neighborhood, attended Mercy High School, and graduated from Creighton University. She brings a strong sense of place to her work and a genuine desire to connect with people and serve the community that raised her.
Anna began her career in development at the Child Saving Institute, where she spent nearly 7 years and found her start in philanthropy. She later returned to Mercy High School as Vice President of Advancement for three years, strengthening relationships with donors and alumnae while supporting the school that helped shape her. At both organizations, she saw the impact of philanthropy on young people’s lives and futures, and she fully believes in the power of community to change people’s lives.
“I love getting to watch Omaha grow and be a part of it,” Anna said. “It is so meaningful to me to see everyone in the community come together, whether for a milestone moment like the Omaha Central Library opening or for the everyday work of local organizations, their staff, volunteers, and donors choosing to serve others.”
In her role at OCF, Anna assists fundholders with their giving, helping them support the organizations they care about and think through their long-term legacy. She brings real curiosity to every conversation and takes time to understand the person on the other end of the phone. If you see Anna at an OCF event, come say hello. In no time at all, she will make connections between the people and organizations you support and the people and organizations she knows and loves – we call it “Six Degrees of Anna Dwyer” because she seems to know almost everyone in the city!
Outside of work, Anna and her husband Scott are raising their two children, Rex, 6, and Stella, 4, here in Omaha. She serves on the board of CASA Douglas County, the Guild Board for the Child Saving Institute, and the Joslyn Association. She also loves exploring the city with her family, trying new restaurants and local businesses, along with favorite spots like the zoo and Lauritzen Gardens.
Welcome, Anna! We are glad to have you on our team.
