Planned Giving
Good that grows beyond a lifetime
It’s wonderful to see the good that you can do. It’s even better to know that the good will continue to grow beyond your lifetime. That’s the beauty of planned giving through the Omaha Community Foundation. And there are so many ways to do it:
- Create an account that will annually support charities close to you past your lifetime
- Designate a customized OCF account as the beneficiary for a life insurance policy , IRA or retirement plan
- Create a family legacy through a charitable plan
Why wait to start giving?
With planned giving through the Omaha Community Foundation, you’re able to start giving before you’re gone. Create a charitable trust or gift annuity that benefits you and/or your family for life, while leaving a charitable legacy to an organization or cause important to you.
Charitable Planning OverviewIt’s all up to you
If you like, we can work with you and others who are involved in your long-term planning. So you’re able to determine the best approach for giving and the charity that best suits your preferences and interests. With Omaha Community Foundation, the good you do is all up to you.
Charitable Giving Legislation
New legislation has extended a special charitable giving opportunity for individuals to use funds from their IRA’s for charitable giving through 2013 and retroactive through January 1, 2012. People age 70½ and older can transfer up to $100,000 of IRA assets each year to public charities without triggering federal income taxes today or estate tax in the future.
